Jamie Pfau, PhD Candidate

​Jamie is a Program Evaluation Specialist with the Childhood Adversity and Resilience (CARe) Research Team and a member of the team since 2022. She is currently a PhD candidate in Community Health Sciences with an anticipated graduation date of June 2026. She received her Master of Social Work (MSW) in 2022 at the University of Manitoba and her Bachelor of Arts Honours’ (BAhons.) in Psychology in 2016 at the University of Winnipeg. Along with joining the CARe Research Team, Jamie is a Senior Research Fellow with SPECTRUM at the University of Manitoba, she is a treatment foster parent and founded a non-profit that houses youth aging out of care, survivors of violence, and refugee/immigrant families.

Jamie’s main research interests include child welfare, child maltreatment, parenting and caregiver supports, and intimate partner violence.
